#OneWordReview…#Radhe: DISAPPOINTING.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️
Doesn’t meet the sky-high expectations… Clichéd plot and predictable formula remodelled with new packaging… #SalmanKhan very good, but lacklustre screenwriting is a roadblock… Strictly for #Salman fans. #RadheReview pic.twitter.com/4AMLnDnGGV
Storyline and Plot
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is an action movie starring Salman Khan which is set in Mumbai. Radhe has had 97 shootouts and 23 transfers in the last ten years. Now, a dangerous drug mafia has taken over the city, Radhe must return to solve the case. Along the way, he finds time to romance his boss’s sister Diya (Disha Patani), while fighting bad guys and saving lives.
The plot of Radhe is what you would expect from a popular Bollywood film. The challenge with these movies is to keep things interesting between ordinary scenes, add some freshness and entertain the audience.
Director Prabhudeva often gives typical temptations that can spoil the story, but the movie remains watchable because of its non-stop action and strong villains.
The film begins with a criminal beating up another thief, which brings Salman Khan and Randeep Hooda face to face. The fight choreography is rough and brutal, with plenty of bloodshed.
However, there are many distractions. The film’s leading lady Disha Patani adds glamor but her role does not contribute much to the plot. Her lack of experience shows, which affects her performance and takes away from the seriousness of the story.
When the songs start, the excitement subsides. They often appear at bad times, though Sajid-Wajid’s title track and Himesh Reshammiya’s “Dil De Diya” with Jacqueline Fernandez are highlights. A loud background score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhar helps enhance key moments.
Prabhudeva relies heavily on Salman’s star power, style and charisma to propel the story, which works when Salman is in action. After the fight, the film is slowed down by dull dialogues, poor chemistry between Salman and Disha and awkward exchanges with Jackie Shroff, who plays Salman’s senior cop. Randeep Hooda, on the other hand, gives a stylish and intense performance, making the most of his screen time.
