Ghayal Real Story
Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) is an amateur boxer who lives in Mumbai with his brother Ashok (Raj Babbar) and sister-in-law Indu (Moushumi Chatterjee). Ashok is a businessman whose company has secret troubles, but he hides this from his wife and brother. Ajay has been sent to Bangalore for training.
While in Bangalore, Ajay gets a message that Ashok is also there. When Ajay reaches the hotel, Ashok leaves without noticing. Later, Ajay gets a call from a drunk Ashok, he tries to share something casual but the call is suddenly cut. Ajay returns to Mumbai and finds Ashok missing. Her efforts to find him and the police complaint go nowhere, leaving Ajay extremely depressed. Later he meets Ashok’s friend (Annu Kapoor), a drug addict, who reveals the dark truth.
When Ashok suffers a loss in business, a wealthy businessman Balwant Rai (Amrish Puri) helps him. Balwant became a partner in Ashok’s company and paid off all the debts. But Balwant used Ashoka’s business for his illegal activities. When Ashok resisted, Balwant threatened him, but Ashok kept asking him to stop the illegal work. Ashoka gathered evidence against Balwant, which increased his difficulty. Balwant kidnapped Ashoka and tortured him for evidence.
Balwant’s men discover that Ajay knew about the evidence, so Balwant kills Ashok. Ajay was falsely accused of murder and having an affair with Indu. In the court, Ajay sees the depth of corruption and even his loved ones turn against him. Losing faith in the law, Ajay decided to seek justice himself. Indu could not handle the shock and gossip and committed suicide.
In prison, Ajay befriended some good-hearted criminals. Together they overpowered the guards and escaped. Ajay then begins his mission to bring down Balwant Rai. He took down Balwant’s men one by one. Balwant grabs Varsha, but Ajay saves her and chases Balwant to an amusement park. Ajay continues to beat Balwant until the police intervene and arrest him. Varsha secretly gives the gun to Ajay, and he shoots Balwant in front of everyone, becoming a silent witness with the police. The film ends with Ajay’s arrest.
